The Mangalore lit fest witnessed the resounding success on day 2 by hosting an enthralling and insightful sessions. Day 3 also marked the beginning of another day of literary exploration.

The opening session on Day 3, titled ‘Ramayana Darshanam: Kuvempu Kannali Rama’ featured esteemed speakers Dr. Varadharaj Chandragiri, Scholar, Principal, Govt. First grade College, Bettampady and Dr. Dhananjay Kumble, Poet, Kannada Lecturer, Mangalore University. Moderated by Dr. Rohinaksha Shirlalu, the session dived into Kuvempu’s unique perspective on the Ramayana.

Marking 75th anniversary of “Ramayana Darshanam”, literary masterpiece of Kuvempu, endeavoured to present a new version of the Ramayana, infused with a blend of spiritual and scientific vision, showcasing a visionary approach to storytelling, says Varadharaj Chandragiri.

Dr. Dhananjay expressed how the present generation embraced Kuvempu’s ideology and his writings, upholding the enduring influence of Kuvempu’s literary legacy. He also remarks that time itself has recognized Kuvempu.

Audiences were brought to an insightful discussion, showcasing the Kuvempu’s interpretation and insights into this timeless epic.

The session winded up with interactive question and answer session. Guruprasad and Kajol took charge of master of ceremony.

ಈ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಡಾ. ರೋಹಿಣಾಕ್ಷ ಶಿರ್ಲಾಲು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಈ ಅಧಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾ. ವರದರಾಜ ಚಂದ್ರಗಿರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಡಾ. ಧನಂಜಯ್ ಕುಂಬ್ಳೆ ವಿಮರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು.

ಡಾ.ವರದರಾಜ ಚಂದ್ರಗಿರಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ರಾಮಾಯಣದ ಜಾನಪದ ಆವೃತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಅದ್ಭುತ ಉದಾಹಣೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿಮರ್ಶಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸೀತೆಯ ನಡುವಿನ ಅವಿನಾಭಾವ ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಹೃದಯ ತಟ್ಟುವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾಮಾಯಣ ದರ್ಶನಂ ಹೇಗೆ ವಿಕಾಸಗೊಂಡಿತು, ಸರಯೂ ನದಿಗೆ ರಾಮ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಹನುಮಂತನ ಜೊತೆ ನಡೆದ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ರಾಮಾಯಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕಂಡುಬರುವ ಸಮನ್ವಯ, ಸರ್ವೋದಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪೂರ್ಣದೃಷ್ಟಿಯು ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ ಪರಮಹಂಸ ಹಾಗೂ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಬೀರಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಇವರು ರಾಮಾಯಣದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಮರ್ಶಿಸುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲವೇ ಕುವೆಂಪುವನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿಯ ವರ್ತಮಾನ ಹಾಗು ರಾಮನ ವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ಹೋಲಿಸಿ ಅದರ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಕುವೆಂಪು ಕೇವಲ ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರ ಪಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ, ವಿರೋದ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಕೂಡ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ರಾವಣನಿಗೂ ತನ್ನ ತಪ್ಪಿನ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ವಿವರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದವರು ಡಾ. ಧನಂಜಯ್ ಕುಂಬ್ಳೆ. ಸಂವಾದಾತ್ಮಕ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೋತ್ತರ ಅವಧಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಗುರುಪ್ರಾದ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಜಲ್ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.
