ಶಾಸನಗಳು ಹೇಳುವ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕಥೆ

The next session on ‘Shasanagalu heluva Bengalurina kathe’ was led by the speaker, Dr. Udaya Kumar, Project Director (Honorary) of The Bengaluru Inscriptions 3D Digital Conservation Project and moderated by Dr. Jayasimha, Senior Research Fellow – both from The Mythic Society.

Dr. Udayakumar, in his session, likely provided a fascinating exploration of the historical and cultural narratives embedded in the city. He also mentioned of using Google Maps to locate inscriptions throughout Bangalore. It helps in engaging with a wider audience and giving a modern dimension.

He also discussed the use of MeshLab Software and Epicollect, adding a technological layer to the exploration of inscriptions. The use of such software and tools into the study of inscriptions highlights the technology and historical research, giving the accuracy and accessibility of information.

The question and answer session at the end added an engaging element to the session. Guruprasad and kajol took charge of master of ceremony.

ಡಾ. ಜಯಸಿಂಹರವರು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ “ಶಾಸನಗಳು ಹೇಳುವ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕಥೆ” ಅಧಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾ. ಉದಯಕುಮಾರ್ ರವರು ವಿಚಾರಗೋಷ್ಠಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕೆಆರ್ ಮಾರ್ಕೆಟ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಾಂತ ಲಾಲ್‌ಬಾಗ್ ಉದ್ಯಾನದ ಮೂಲಕ ಬಂದ ಪರಂಪರೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹನಶೀಲತೆಯ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತವಾಗಿ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಶಾಸನವು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಈ ಶಾಸನಗಳು 30 ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಅದು ಲೈಬ್ರೆರಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೆ ಯಾರು ಗಮನಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಗೂಗಲ್ ನಕ್ಷೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಶಾಸನಗಳ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಬಹುದು, ಇದನ್ನು ಸುಮಾರು 3 ಲಕ್ಷ ಜನರು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಯೋಜನೆ ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಇದೆ.

ಡಾ.ಉದಯಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಈ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡೀ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಗೂ ಈ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಒದಗಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಶಾಸನಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜನರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಏನೆಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದ ಡಾ. ಜಯಸಿಂಹ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಶಾಸನಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನಿಧಿ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಜನರು ನಂಬಿದ್ದಾರೆ ನಾನು ನೋಡಲು ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಳ್ಳರು ಬಂದರೆಂದು ಅನುಮಾನ ಪಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಶಾಸನಗಳು ನಾಶವಾಗುತ್ತಾ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಡಾಕ್ಟರ್ ಉದಯಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಬೇಸರ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾಜಲ್ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.
