Day 3 | Audi 1 – Session 2 : 11.00 am
‘Understanding Global Market Economy’ was the topic for the second session of the Mangaluru LIT Fest. Prof Usha Rajesh was the moderator and the panel including Mr Suresh Narasimhan and Mr Prashanth Vaidyaraj.
Mr Prashanth says that India must learn from China on how we must make sure that each and everything is made within the country rather than outsourcing the work that is to be done. On asked about the challenges faced by India in the growing GDP. He says that there is a certain amount of prudence. Innovation is the key but the public and private partnership much help and not only the government schemes that help build the economy of our country. He spoke that India’s Amritkal scheme says that sustainability is a very important aspect in the growth of the economy. People have to decide if we are happy with the model that is provided for sustainability. Talking about the Covid effect on the economy he has that the policies that the government came up with and how the public walked in hand was a very helpful measure in holding the outbreak and with minimal effect.
Mr Suresh while giving his insights says that there is a huge impact of AI. He says all the software has been rewritten. The software part of AI can help create thousands of startups and also alot of employment opportunities. India is a very big market for every startups because of it’s population. He further says that innovations is the future and we must make this startups to start production units in India to create employment which will help in the growth of economy. Mr Suresh says that universities in India have to create a ecosystem wherein they are allowed to come up with ideas. We must focus empowering in the younger generation in India. In his concluding statements Mr Suresh says that there are some tax related issues to be sorted in order to get much more investments in the country.
The session ended with a Q and A session with the panelists giving their insights on the questions of the audience.
“ಅಂಡರ್‌ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾಂಡಿಂಗ್ ಗ್ಲೋಬಲ್ ಮಾರ್ಕೆಟ್ ಎಕಾನಮಿ” ಕುರಿತ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುರೇಶ್ ನರಸಿಂಹನ್, ಪ್ರೊ. ಉಷಾ ರಾಜೇಶ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ್ ವೈದ್ಯರಾಜ್ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಹೊರಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ನೀಡುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ದೇಶದೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದೂ ತಯಾರಿಸಬಹುದು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಭಾರತವು ಚೀನಾದಿಂದ ಕಲಿಯಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಜಿಡಿಪಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸವಾಲುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ನಾವೀನ್ಯತೆ ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾಗಿದೆ ಆದರೆ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಖಾಸಗಿ ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವವು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ. ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆಯ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಸ್ಥಿರತೆ ಬಹಳ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದ ಅಂಶವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಭಾರತದ ಅಮೃತಕಲ್ ಯೋಜನೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೃಳಿದರು, ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಪರಿಣಾಮದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ, ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ತಂದ ನೀತಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಹೇಗೆ ಕೈ ಹಿಡಿದರು ಎಂಬುದು ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕನಿಷ್ಟ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಸಹಾಯಕವಾದ ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಸುರೇಶ್ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ AI ಯ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರಭಾವವಿದೆ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತಂತ್ರಾಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಬರೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ AI ಯ ಸಾಫ್ಟ್‌ವೇರ್ ಭಾಗವು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಸ್ಟಾರ್ಟ್‌ಅಪ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಉದ್ಯೋಗಾವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಭಾರತವು ಅದರ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ಟಪ್‌ಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಆವಿ?ರಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆಯ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವ ಉದ್ಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಲು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಘಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲು ನಾವು ಈ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ಟ್‌ಅಪ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ನಾವು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣವನ್ನು ಕೇಂದ್ರೀಕರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಕೊನೆಯದಾಗಿ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಹೂಡಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಕೆಲವು ತೆರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಂಗಡಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು. ಪ್ರಶ್ನೋತ್ತರ ವಿಭಾಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವು ಕೊನೆಗೊಂಡಿತು.
