Appreciation for the Puppet Show
At the 8th edition of the Mangalore Lit Fest, a performance of Bombeyata (Puppet Show), a significant part of our culture, was organized. Ujjwala Krishnaraj presented the story of Rani Abbakka, showcasing the traditional art of puppetry to the gathered audience. While focusing on children during the performance, she also spoke about the importance of puppet theatre. She remarked that “Bombeyata brings joy and enhances awareness, which is why it is so vital.” Krishnaraj assisted in conducting the program.
ಬೊಂಬೆಯಾಟ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಶ್ಲಾಘನೆ
ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಲಿಟ್ ಫೆಸ್ಟ್ 8ನೇ ಆವೃತ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿರುವ ಬೊಂಬೆಯಾಟದ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವೂ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಉಜ್ವಲಾ ಕೃಷ್ಣರಾಜ್ ಅವರು ರಾಣಿ ಅಬ್ಬಕ್ಕನ ಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಬೊಂಬೆಯಾಟ ಕಲೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರೆದ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರ ಮುಂದೆ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಗಮನ ಕೇಂದ್ರೀಕರಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನೀಡುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಬೊಂಬೆಯಾಟದ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಬೊಂಬೆಯಾಟ ಸಂತೋಷ ಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಬೊಂಬೆಯಾಟ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಕೃಷ್ಣರಾಜ್ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಸಲು ನೆರವಾದರು.
