As part of the 8th edition of MIRLITFEST, the documentary “Bhairappa: Life and Writings” was screened, offering audiences an insightful look into the literary journey and philosophical depth of one of India’s most influential writers. Directed by P. Seshadri, the documentary traced the author’s life, creative evolution and the social and cultural contexts that shaped his writings.
The screening drew keen interest from literature enthusiasts, students and scholars, who appreciated the film’s nuanced portrayal of the writer’s ideas, discipline and commitment to storytelling. The documentary highlighted how his works continue to provoke thought and engage readers across generations.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಲಿಟ್ ಫೆಸ್ಟ್ ನ 8ನೇ ಆವೃತ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಖ್ಯಾತ ಸಾಹಿತಿ ಎಸ್.ಎಲ್. ಭೈರಪ್ಪನವರ ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ವಿಜೇತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಪಿ.ಶೇಷಾದ್ರಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ಭೈರಪ್ಪ ಬದುಕು ಮತ್ತು ಬರಹ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯಚಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ಈ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯಚಿತ್ರವು ಭೈರಪ್ಪನವರ ಜೀವನ, ಅವರ ಸೃಜನಶೀಲ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಬರವಣಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿದ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರ ಮುಂದೆ ತೆರೆದಿಟ್ಟಿತು. ಈ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯಾಸಕ್ತರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಭೈರಪ್ಪನವರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳು, ಶಿಸ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಕಥೆ ಹೇಳುವ ಶೈಲಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚಿತ್ರವು ನೀಡಿದ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮ ಚಿತ್ರಣವನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಕೃತಿಗಳು ಹೇಗೆ ಇಂದಿಗೂ ತಲೆಮಾರುಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿದ ಓದುಗರನ್ನು ಸೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಲೋಚನೆಗೆ ಹಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿವೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯಚಿತ್ರವು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯಚಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಲಿಟ್ ಫೆಸ್ಟ್ ಗೆ ಒಂದು ಚಿಂತನಾತ್ಮಕ ಆಯಾಮವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತು.
